EAI and BPM are business event driven, and are real-time or near real-time in nature. This is not always the best approach. There is also need for 'heavy lifting', the movement of large amounts of information from one application to others, or from many applications to a data warehouse. Extract Transform & Load (ETL) processes are typically batch oriented and run in the off peak hours of an organization.

ETL rounds out the overall integration services offering of Groundswell. Our years of EAI experience have provided a solid grounding for ETL. Many of the same challenges encountered in developing EAI solutions are also found in ETL.
